Mock Audition Workshop with Paull-Anthony Keightley

1 November 2026 | CUHK-Shenzhen School of Music

How do you make the strongest possible impression in an opera audition?

Following the Opera Asia Pacific Casting Auditions, this practical workshop gives singers the opportunity to explore the audition process in greater depth with Paull-Anthony Keightley, Artist Manager at Patrick Togher Artists’ Management, professional singer and vocal coach. Drawing on his experience both on stage and in artist management, Paull-Anthony offers participants insight into how singers can present themselves more effectively in today’s professional opera industry.

The workshop is designed to bridge the gap between artistic preparation and professional presentation. Participants will work in a mock-audition setting and receive individual feedback on repertoire presentation, musical and dramatic communication, audition strategy, professional readiness and the overall impression they create in the room.

The workshop aims to help singers:

  • understand what casting professionals and artist managers look for in an audition;
  • develop a clearer and more confident audition presentation;
  • make effective repertoire and aria choices;
  • strengthen communication, stage presence and professional readiness; and
  • gain practical insight into navigating auditions and building a sustainable professional career.
